Meet the Team
Pastor Steve is a 1982 graduate of Wittenberg University and a 1986 graduate from Trinity Lutheran Seminary. He has served as Pastor at St John’s Covington; Sr. Pastor at Messiah, Reynoldsburg; Sr. Pastor at Holy Trinity Canton; and most recently, as Mission Developer/Pastor at Alleluia, Plain City, Ohio. Pastor Steve has served on various synod committees including Candidacy. Currently he serves on the Southern Ohio Synod council and executive committee. Pastor Steve also serves the Synod as Coordinator of the Southern Ohio Synod, Leadership Academy.
Pastor Steve is married to Gail. Their family includes oldest daughter, Samantha and her husband Chris, their middle daughter Brianne, and their son Tadd and his wife Sarah. Tadd and Sarah have a daughter, and twin children. Pastor Steve loves all sports, especially football and basketball, and his favorite college team, after his alma mater, is Ohio State. His hobbies are music, video games, and working in the garden and on small construction projects around the house.
Pastor Carey has served at Peace Lutheran Church since 2015. Her husband Rogers works for a local non-profit and they have two boys and a golden-doodle. Pastor Carey is a 2007 graduate of Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary. She was ordained in the Lutheran Church of Tanzania where she served as pastor of a large congregation, and chaplain at Marangu Teachers College and Marangu Hospital. She is passionate about sharing the Gospel and Love of God through wonder and play, as she meets people where they are on their faith journey.
Linda Hill Lally has served as Director of Music at Peace Lutheran Church since 2015. Linda, her husband, and children live in southwest Ohio and are active in their community. Linda is a 1993 graduate of Capital University (Bachelor of Music) and a 1995 graduate of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (Master of Music). Linda is passionate about making music accessible to members and visitors alike by programming a wide variety of musical styles both in the ensembles that she conducts as well as in weekly worship. Linda also has assisted the Bishop of the Southern Ohio Synod in preparing ordination services for new ordinands. In addition to her numerous duties at Peace Lutheran Church, Linda performs with numerous outside organizations, occasionally including the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra.
